Crawley Will Not Be Defeatist At Wrexham Lindsey

Crawley Not to Approach Wrexham With 'Defeatism' - Lindsey

Crawley Town manager, Matthew Lindsey has rejected any suggestion that his team will adopt a negative approach when they visit league leaders, Wrexham on Saturday.

Lindsey stated that the confidence levels within his squad are high as they prepare for the clash against their title-chasing opponents at the Racecourse Ground.

Crawley have been impressive on the road of late, having recorded back-to-back wins at Colchester United and Hartlepool United. Lindsey's side would move into the top half of the table with a victory in North Wales.

Despite Wrexham's dominant position at the summit of the National League, Lindsey insists that his team will travel to the Racecourse Ground with the belief that they can return with a positive result.

"We're not going to Wrexham with any sense of defeatism," Lindsey said. "We know it will be a tough game, but we have belief in our ability. We've shown on our travels this season that we can match anyone.

"Wrexham are a good side, but we're not going to go there and just sit back. We'll be positive and try to play our own game. We've got a good group of players who are confident in their ability, and we'll go there and give it our best shot."

Crawley have a good record against Wrexham, having won three of the last five meetings between the two sides. Lindsey will be hoping that his team can continue their good form against the Welsh side on Saturday.
